Ingredients
Oil-2tsp
Mustard seed-1/2tsp
Fenugreek seed-1/2,
Asafoetida-1tsp,
Small onion -10,
Drum stick-1,
Chilli pow-1tsp,
Turmeric pow-1/2tsp,
Tomato-1/2,
Tarmind-gooseberry size,
Toor dal-50g
Sambar podi-2tsp,
Coriander leaf,
Curry leaf
Salt as need

FOR PREPARATION

1. Take a pressure cooker ,put the toor dal ,1/4 tsp of turmeric powder ,add water
[2 cups ] cook for 3 to 4 whistle .

2. soak tamarind in warm water for 10 min .keep aside.

METHODS

1. Take a kadai , put the oil and when it is hot add mustard ,fenugreek when its pops up ,then add asafoetida , curry leaves ,small onionfry till it turns into golden brown .
2.Now add the drum stick ,required salt,let it get cooked.

3.Add the tomato,now add one and half cups of water ,add chilli pow,turmeric pow, cook for 10 min[till drum stick cook]

4.finally add tarmarind paste, cooked toor dal, sambar podi,let it boil for 5 to 7 min.

5.when the dish is ready garnisn with coriander leaves,switch off the stoves.

6. serve with hot rice ,idly , dosa,pongal.
