Dhal Veg Rice Cooking for babies. You can start giving this for
babies 10 months completed.


Pulungal Rice - 1 laddle ( around 50 Gm. )

Dry roasted moong dhal - 1/2 laddle. ( you can also use thour dhal)

Carrot, beans chopped - 1 tsp, each.

Small onion, garlic clove - 1 each

Tomato - 1 small piece

Turmeric powder - 1 pinch

Jeera - 1 pinch

Pepper - 1 or 2 pieces

Salt - 1/8 tsp

Ghee - 1/2 tsp


Wash and soak rice and dhal for 30 minutes. Add all ingredients to a pressure cooker. Add 6 laddle measures of water and cook for 4 whistles.

Mash it with a hand blender or in mixi and add ghee, mix and give warm.

For 10 months baby, half of the quantity is enough. Slowly increase the quantity according to the age..
