Curry leaf gravy, suitable for plain rice. A healthy & tasty dish, that can be stored in fridge for 4 days.


Curry leaf- 2 cups; tamarind- amla size; small onion-10; garlic cloves- 10; coconut- 1 table spoon; coriander seed- 2 tea spoons; ulund, tuvar dals, jeera- each 1 tea spoon; pepper- 1/2 spoon; red chilly- 6; gingelly oil- 4 spoons; mustard seeds-1/2 spoon; asafoetida; salt; jaggery- 1/2 spoon.

Steps :

Dry roast coriander seeds, dals, chillies, pepper, jeera. In 1/4 spoon oil, fry curry leaves for 1 minute. In 1/4 spoon oil, fry 5 small onion, 5 garlic, add coconut. make all this to a fine chutney. In 3 spoon of oil, saute mustard seeds, asafoetida, small onion, garlic; add the grind paste, 1/4 cup water & allow it to boil. Add tamarind pulp & salt. Allow it to boil for 5 minutes. Add jaggery, switch off, add a spoon of gingelly oil on top.
